Join landscape artist and plein-air painter, Kevin Menck in the studio for this one day workshop as he teaches students how to suggest more and render less to make effective landscape paintings.,

Kevin will provide an organized approach to painting the landscape and tips on how to capture the essence of a scene in nature without having to include everything that you see.. Focus will be on drawing, color, value and composition of the landscape. Students will learn to see masses and the value of each as they relate to each other and the basic value structure of the landscape. Edge work and paint handling will be emphasized along with the use of the limited palette.

Through studio classes students will learn how to tackle common problems that arise in plein-air painting and help build confidence to aid them when painting outside.
