Whether laying in an accurate sketch, or wielding loaded bristles for calligraphic marks, being able to draw with a brush is a valuable skill for a painter. Plus, it’s incredibly satisfying. 

These 4 weeks, we’ll make paintings from still life observation using simply raw umber and white in order to capitalize on the mark making potential of our brushes. This will be an excellent place for total beginners and committed practitioners alike, because the work is so distilled.
