When painting, no matter the subject, our aim at the start should be to hone in on those large, easily discernible, simple shapes and values. During our our time together, we’ll begin by doing just that. We’ll also be using larger brushes, to keep our starts loose and fresh. Thin gradients of gray will provide the perfect foundation. Then beautiful color will be applied, not forgetting the importance of thoughtful edge work. A fresh and carefree style will be our aim. I think you’ll be surprised at how simplifying what we see can say it all!
