Materials
Sketchbook/drawing pencil: For preliminary drawings
Painting Surface: Bring 2-4 panels of sizes ranging from 6x8-11x14 as well as one Larger surface that has the same aspect ratio to your smaller panels (suggested 16x20-18x24). If you paint on a panel that can easily be cut to size using a box cutter, that is ideal. Richie primarily paints on medium to fine weave Claessens Belgian linen. Raymar Panel company sells pre-made quality panels as a suggestion. You can find them at Raymarart.com. Stretched canvas is not recommended.
Recommended brushes: Rosemary Brushes
Long Flats (ser 279 or Eclipse) : sizes ⅛”,1, 4, 6, 8, ⅝”
Eclips ex long comber: sizes ⅛”, ¼”, ⅜”, ½”
Rounds (synthetic): sizes 1, 3, 4
Chungking flat or filbert: Large size for blocking in 12-16
Medium: Oleogel by Rublev

Paper towels: Viva brand!! One roll
Palette Knife: suggested Connoisseur Italian painting knife, metal pie/wedge shape witha point. Students only need one size range from 8-28
Easel/Pallette: A free standing portable easel works great for the use of the palette and easels will be provided for by the school.
Turpentine Jar: a small container 8oz or bigger that has a sealed lid.
Paints: I will write in parentheses what brands I use because they are specific, just in case students would like to know, however I don't expect them to buy exactly what I use.
