Most of us know, if we're honest, our drawings could and should be better. If you are serious about improving your drawing skills, join Jim for this three day Drawing Bootcamp. Learn essential seeing and drawing methods that will improve your accuracy and eliminate guesswork errors.

You'll learn to create curves using straight lines, recognize and draw shapes instead of things and relate the values and edges of those shapes to better express the form - no matter how complicated. Beginners and more advanced students will benefit from Jim's methods which promote better seeing and ensure more accurate, convincing drawing results.

Day One: After an in-depth discussion and demonstration from photographic reference, Jim will supply each student with photographic reference from which to draw. The focus will be understanding and utilizing Jim's concepts.

Day Two: Jim will begin with a brief demo of a life-model reiterating his process of seeing and interpreting the form. Afterwards, students will draw the model with Jim's guidance.

Day Three: Students are encouraged to bring their own reference (printed or digital) from which to work. This reference could be one of the photos supplied by Jim on Day One, OR photos taken of our model on Day Two, OR any student-supplied reference such as a still life, landscape, animal or person photo. Again, Jim will help each student as they tackle their specific drawing challenges.
