COLOR RULES with Nancy McCarthy Warehouse 521 Feb. 29 – March 2, 2020
SUPPLY LIST
Please note:
• Except for the paint, which must be the colors/brand
specified (so we have consistent color for everyone in the
class) you can use anything that is close to what is suggested.
• In order to have paint on time for class, please order as soon
as possible. Backorders are common.
Please email me if you have questions: nmccarthy@massart.edu PAINT
What we learn in this class is applicable to all mediums but we will use
acrylic gouache for our color investigations. Like traditional gouache,
acrylic gouache is highly pigmented and dries matte. Unlike traditional
gouache, it does not reactivate once dry, thus allowing infinite color
corrections quickly.
There are several brands available but Turners Acryl Gouache is the
best value for quality.
TURNERS ACRYL GOUACHE
This can only be purchased on-line (unless you live near Jerry’s) at Jerry’s
