Mattie Ree Neal: Building The Portrait: The Complete Studio Process Class
The first week students will just need their regular set up and a surface for a head study. ideally 16x20, but students can bring what they are comfortable with but not too small. 11x14-16x20.
The 2nd week students need to bring an iPad, laptop or something digital to work off of for their composition sketch (and a small panel or canvas pad).
Mattie plans to bring a camera so everyone can get really good pictures.
Once students have determined their composition they can get their large canvas for the rest of the class.
For the composition sketch, students would be welcome to work in oils or gouache, Mattie loves to use both!
