Join New York artist Karen O’Neil in her home studio for this one hour painitng demonstration plus Q&A. Simplifying a clear glass object, the relationship of the object to its surroundings.
New York artist, Karen O'Neil, creates paintings that will stop you in your tracks. Her use of clean color and interesting design captivates the viewer and in a room full of paintings, her's stand out and demand a closer look. Come join us as we watch and learn how to create paintings that sing with energy and life!
Biography:
Karen O'Neil is a current painting instructor at the The Art Students League of New York and teaches workshops each year in the northeast. She attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia and earned a BFA at Massachusetts College of Art in 1983. Karen was also a student of Henry Hensche at the Cape Cod School of Art in Provincetown.
Her awards and residencies include: Platte Clove Artist Residency, Catskill Center for Conservation & Development,Sept. 2012, "Newington Award - Best Painting in Show" 2011 American Artists Professional League,
Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Ave, NY, NY, Millay Colony for the Arts,1990,Woodstock School of Art workspace fellowship 1988.
