This class covers the fundamental tenets of design and language in art. Once you understand these principles and the nature of visual language, you can apply them in a manner, method, and style that is your own. 

 This isn’t a pure abstract class; you get to decide the level of abstraction you wish to explore. It is more of a learn-how-to-think class, where you receive a process for exploring and considering new ideas. It’s a crash course on finding authenticity in your work. We'll cover core principles of creative expression, the language of art, and the application of the medium. My intent is to help each artist find a way that works for them, numerous ways to interpret from life, push their existing process, or go fully abstract. 

We will be working in gouache, which is my all-time favorite medium, perfect for doing what we are doing. It's the most versatile medium I’ve worked in… and I’ve worked in all of them. It’s perfect for idea explorations and quick studies… also amazing detail if that’s your thing.

This isn’t a class for beginners, you need to have at least a basic understanding of color.
