This class is designed to advise each member personally on their journey. It is an oasis to shake out your creative self, find your flow, and gain some skills. This Directed Study is for artists honing pieces in progress, artists who want to work out some kinks in their process, and artists who have trouble calling themselves "artists." If you come in with work underway, I'll come alongside you to see you to your goal. If you come in needing a jumpstart, pack your sketchbook. I'll help you chart a course toward what lights you up. 

Bio: I’m Erin Martin. Classically trained but unafraid of experimentation, my wheelhouse is representational drawing and painting in most dry and wet media, but my geek-outs are color theory and structural drawing/drawing from life. My artistic philosophy is omnivorous in nature: I want you to find your voice, try on your powers, and choose your tools for expression. Because life is so much more rich and interesting when you show up. 

Possible media suggestions: graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel, collage, ink, watercolor, acrylic paint, oil paint, ipad.

If the group wishes to bring in a model once a month, we'll pay model fee at that time.
