Jim Himsworth: Drawing Class

Supply List: (recommended)

a) Creative Mark, Willow Charcoal .5 mm - .7 mm diameter, extra soft sticks (comes in cylindrical containers of 25 sticks)

b) (quantity of two) 12 mm diameter or larger (or Chunky Charcoal) charcoal sticks - for covering large areas

c) charcoal stick holder (This extends short or broken sticks for more deft handling.)

d) kneadable eraser

c) chamois or chammy cloth

e) at least three sheets of Strathmore Toned Gray, 400 series, 18 inch x 24 inch, medium surface paper

f) some sort of drawing board on which your paper can be attached

c) tape or clips - for attaching paper to drawing board

d) small, hand-held mirror

e) OPTIONAL - white charcoal pencil or Conte stick 

 

If you would like to draw the with paint, please bring the following:

Winsor & Newton (oil paint) - Ultramarine Blue 37 ml

b) Rembrandt - Transparent Oxide Red, 40 ml (or W&N Burnt Sienna, 37 ml)

c) W&N, Titanium White 

d) at least Three 12 inch x 16 inch white canvases (or prepared panels)

e) Palette

c) # 0 Silver Grand Prix flat brushes (quantity of 2)

d) # 2  SGP filbert brushes (quantity of 3)

e) # 6  SGB filbert (quantity of 1)

f) Viva paper towels (2 rolls)

g) ODORLESS thinner - Turpenoid or Gamsol

h) Thinner container / brush cleaner container

i) plastic bag for paper towel disposal

j) mirror
