Join landscape artist and plein-air painter, Kevin Menck this fall in the studio! Kevin generously shares the knowledge he has gained through his commitment to painting plein-air with his students.
Through demonstrations and one on one instruction, Kevin will provide an organized approach to painting the landscape and tips on how to capture the essence of a scene in nature. Focus will be on drawing, color, value and composition of the landscape. Students will learn to see masses and the value of each as they relate to each other and the basic value structure of the landscape. Edge work and paint handling will be emphasized along with the use of the limited palette.
Through studio classes students will learn how to tackle common problems that arise in plein-air painting and help build confidence to aid them when painting outside.
