This workshop will show students the best way to paint color using the secrets of Russian Impressionism, with a contemporary feel. One day of the workshop will be devoted to still life, and two days to models. Students will learn to paint what they see, and check their work with the rules. There will be a lot of information to give a new perspective on color and painting
Nancy Seamons Crookston's paintings are often described as peaceful and calming. The California based painter is attracted to the human figure in moments of stillness and reflection. Nancy loves to capture glimpses of a beautiful woman taking time to exhale or the tenderness between mother and child and the innocence of children engaged in quiet play. She loves painting plein air landscape while capturing a moment in time with the changes of nature. Now living in California she is excited to paint the beautiful people and places she sees every day.
